Keep in mind

The Instant Discounts program offers incentives for the purchase and installation of qualifying energy-efficient equipment. By working with an Instant Discounts provider, the discount is automatically deducted from the purchase price, so there’s no paperwork for customers to complete. Find an Instant Discounts provider via MidAmerican’s Find a Contractor search tool. Trade Allies working with a participating distributor that would like to be listed as an Instant Discounts Provider on the search tool can contact a Trade Ally Ambassador. Please review the general Iowa and Illinois qualifications and conditions, as well as specific equipment qualifications (below).
  • Instant discounts are only available by purchasing your equipment through a participating Instant Discounts provider.
  • Instant Discounts incentives cannot be combined with any other rebate or incentive program including Nonresidential Energy Solutions, Commercial New Construction and Income Qualified Multifamily Housing.
  • Customers may choose an Instant Discounts rebate or an alternative MidAmerican energy efficiency program rebate, but not both.
  • All commercial new construction projects, including multifamily new construction, must participate in the Commercial New Construction program in order to receive rebates.
  • Equipment not listed in the Instant Discounts program may qualify for a rebate under Nonresidential Energy Solutions. These custom projects must be preapproved by MidAmerican prior to purchase and installation of equipment or systems.
  • To be eligible for Instant Discounts incentives, equipment must be purchased, installed and operating between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024, Rebates and incentives are issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Existing LED products being replaced by new LED products do not qualify. Lighting projects must be a one-for-one replacement only – lighting redesigns where the quantity of lamps or fixtures is changed may be eligible for a rebate through the Nonresidential Energy Solutions program. A minimum of 1,000 annual operating hours is required for Instant Discounts lighting projects.
