Our Equipment Tune-Up program is designed to help you improve the performance, reliability and energy efficiency of your existing residential heating and cooling systems when you have a tune-up completed at a reduced cost. Over time, heating and cooling equipment naturally lose efficiency due to wear, dirt buildup, refrigerant loss and deferred maintenance. When you work with a MidAmerican Qualified Service Provider to complete a heating or cooling equipment tune-up, you will not only see immediate savings on your out-of-pocket costs, but completing a tune-up could also help reduce energy costs!

Before the tune-up begins, your technician will measure your heating or cooling system’s baseline performance. During the service, they will:
  • Clean the equipment and perform routine maintenance
  • Ensure all motors are operating correctly
  • Check thermostat operation and settings
  • Retest your equipment to verify performance improvements
Ask your preferred heating and cooling contractor if they participate in MidAmerican’s Equipment Tune-Up program, or use our provider search tool to find a participating provider in your area. If you don’t see a Qualified Service Provider in your area, or your preferred contractor is not listed, call us at 800-432-8583.
