  • Participants must be residential customers located in MidAmerican Energy Company’s Illinois service territory.
  • MidAmerican Energy Company must provide the primary electricity or natural gas to the equipment for which the rebate is being paid.
  • For prescriptive rebates, the rebate payment cannot exceed 50 percent of the installed cost (reasonable labor and material/equipment - reasonableness to be determined by MidAmerican Energy Company). Installed cost includes contractor labor only and does not include internal labor.
  • Equipment must be new and installed on the premises.
  • Customers agree to allow MidAmerican Energy Company, its Program Implementation Contractors and their Subcontractors to access their property for the purposes of delivering program services/equipment made available through MidAmerican Energy’s energy efficiency programs.
  • An on-site HomeCheck® assessment must be completed by Dec. 20, 2019, and before insulation projects can qualify for rebates.
  • Equipment must be purchased and installed between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2019.
  • Rebate applications must be received by Jan. 31, 2020, to qualify for 2019 rebates.
  • Applications can be submitted via email at rebateapplications@midamerican.com. Rebate applications for equipment/materials purchased in 2019, postmarked after Jan. 31, 2020, will not be eligible for rebates.
  • Invoice/receipt must show manufacturer’s name, model/serial number, efficiency rating and quantity of qualifying equipment purchased and installed.
  • Allow up to 4 weeks for rebate processing once application and supporting documents are received (excluding on-site verification time, if needed).
  • MidAmerican Energy Company, its Program Implementation Contractors and their Subcontractors reserves the right to request additional supporting documentation if necessary to ensure measure eligibility and verify existing system performance and baseline conditions.
  • MidAmerican Energy Company, its Program Implementation Contractors and their Subcontractors reserves the right to inspect and verify installation before or after issuing the rebate payment.
  • MidAmerican Energy Company nor its Program Implementation Contractors or their Subcontractors guarantees that installation and operation of energy-efficient equipment will result in reduced usage or in cost savings. The manner in which a customer uses and maintains energy-efficient equipment affects potential cost savings.
  • MidAmerican Energy Company nor its Program Implementation Contractors or their Subcontractors makes no warranties, expressed or implied, with respect to any equipment purchased or installed, including, but not limited to, any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
  • In no event shall MidAmerican Energy Company or its Program Implementation Contractors or their Subcontractors be held liable for any incidental or consequential damages or injuries resulting from defective equipment or installation.
  • Additional program-specific qualifications are shown on individual program pages and rebate applications.
  • These programs are effective Jan. 1, 2019, through Dec. 31, 2019, and are subject to periodic review by MidAmerican Energy Company, and MidAmerican Energy Company reserves the right to modify or end these programs at any time.
