MidAmerican Energy today announced a forward-looking electric generation plan designed to ensure long-term reliable power for customers while maintaining its position as one of the lowest-cost electricity providers in the United States.

As communities continue to recover from natural disasters that impacted parts of MidAmerican Energy Company’s service area this year, the MidAmerican Energy Foundation has committed $100,000 to support long-term recovery and rebuilding efforts.

MidAmerican Energy is taking big steps to ensure reliable, affordable power for its customers in the years to come, especially as demand for electricity keeps growing. The company is proposing two new generation projects to best serve its customers – particularly during times when they need it most and regardless of the weather.
