New Leadership for MidAmerican Energy Company

DES MOINES, Iowa – (Jan. 11, 2018) – MidAmerican Energy Company named a new president and CEO amid restructuring of Berkshire Hathaway Energy’s executive management.

Adam Wright, formerly vice president, gas delivery for MidAmerican Energy will assume the role of president and CEO. Wright began his career with the Berkshire Hathaway Energy family of businesses in 1996, while he was still in college. In 2003, he joined the operations group at Northern Natural Gas where he served in various management roles. In 2010, he left the operations group and assumed the role of vice president of marketing, where he managed negotiations of long-term service agreements and customer satisfaction initiatives for Northern Natural Gas.

In 2012, Wright transitioned to MidAmerican Energy as the leader of the wind generation fleet overseeing its expansion and operations. Starting in 2015, he assumed the role of vice president, gas operations.

Wright replaces Bill Fehrman as president and CEO. Fehrman occupied that post for over a decade and will now assume responsibilities as president and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Energy.
