DES MOINES, Iowa – (Feb. 2, 2017) – More than 5,000 students from schools across central Iowa will pack Wells Fargo Arena on Feb. 7 to watch the Iowa Energy take on the Oklahoma City Blue for the eighth annual Education Celebration game.

Sponsored by MidAmerican Energy, Education Celebration is a time for kids to take a break from the traditional classroom and learn through fun, interactive activities throughout the game.

“We’re proud to partner with MidAmerican Energy to offer kids in our state a unique learning experience,” said Randi Burrell, vice president of operations for the Iowa Energy. “Activities during the game will focus on a variety of different educational topics, while students get to witness sportsmanship and teamwork firsthand.”
