MidAmerican Energy Announces Free Iowa Energy Tickets For Customers Accessing Their Account Online
DES MOINES, Iowa – (March 31, 2014) – MidAmerican Energy Company is putting the power of easier communication in customers’ hands through its My Accounts tool on its website. Not only can customers manage their accounts, they can access the preference center and decide how much information they want to receive from the company through email and tailor the information to their needs.
By registering with My Accounts online, customers can view their usage history, report an outage and initiate service changes. Additional options include a mobile optimized version of My Accounts, receiving outage detail updates, payment confirmation, At Your Service: Residential eNews, and THE Business Advantage: Commercial eNews alerts via email.
“We are excited to provide an easier way to communicate with customers,” said Terry Ousley, vice president of customer satisfaction for MidAmerican Energy. “The My Preferences tool is easy to use and helps customers sign up for email alerts that are most important to their needs.”
To access My Accounts, customers should visit www.midamericanenergy.com and create a new user profile if they have not already. You will need the following information to get started: a MidAmerican Energy account number, the last name of the account holder and the account holder’s phone number or the last 4 digits of the account holder’s Social Security Number.
Today through April 3, the first 50 customers who access the My Accounts tool and share a message on MidAmerican Energy’s Facebook page about his/her experience will receive two free tickets to the Sat. April 5, Iowa Energy game at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Once a message is posted to the company’s Facebook page, MidAmerican Energy will contact the customer to verify account information and then issue the tickets. MidAmerican Energy will provide two tickets to the first 50 customers who participate in the promotion. The company’s Facebook page can be accessed through www.midamericanenergy.com.
