Insulation is one of the keys to a comfortable, energy-efficient home. The greatest energy savings often come from ensuring the home has adequate attic insulation levels. MidAmerican Energy rebates can help Illinois customers save up to 20 percent on heating and cooling costs.

To be eligible for insulation rebates, you must complete an on-site assessment, and the energy expert must recommend insulation improvements before any insulation projects begin. Insulation improvements made before the assessment are not eligible for rebates. Schedule your on-site HomeCheck to get started by calling 800-545-0762  or complete the HomeCheck Assessment Request.

Note: An on-site assessment must be completed by December 20, 2019, and before insulation projects begin to qualify for rebates. The energy expert will determine the not-to-exceed rebate level during the HomeCheck assessment. Insulation projects must be completed by December 31, 2019 and rebate applications must be submitted by January 31, 2020.

Rebate requirements and how to apply
Refer to the rebate application included in the HomeCheck folder provided during your on-site assessment for all rebate requirements.

Self-installed equipment and other materials: Complete the appropriate rebate application, attach a copy of the itemized, dated receipt and send them to MidAmerican Energy by January 31, 2020. You may not charge labor for self-installations.
