For Residential Customers in Illinois

Insulation is one of the keys to a comfortable, energy-efficient home. The greatest energy savings often come from ensuring the home has adequate attic insulation levels. MidAmerican Energy rebates can help you save up to 20 percent on heating and cooling costs (or up to 10 percent on total annual energy bills).

To be eligible for insulation rebates, an on-site HomeCheck® assessment must be completed before installation. Any improvements made prior to the on-site assessment are ineligible for rebates.

Note: An on-site HomeCheck assessment must be completed by October 1, 2018, and before insulation projects begin to qualify for rebates. The assessor will determine the not-to-exceed rebate level during the HomeCheck assessment. All insulation projects must be completed and rebate applications submitted by December 31, 2018.

Rebate requirements and how to apply

Refer to the rebate application included in the HomeCheck® folder for all rebate requirements.

Professionally installed equipment and materials: Have your Trade Ally Partner or contractor send a completed rebate application and itemized invoice to MidAmerican Energy be December 31, 2018.

Self-installed equipment and other materials: Complete the appropriate rebate application, attach a copy of the itemized, dated receipt and send them to MidAmerican Energy by December 31, 2018. You may not charge labor for self-installations.
