For Business Customers in Iowa
Making the switch to energy-efficient commercial kitchen equipment now can save you money on your energy and water bills for years to come.
- You must be an institutional, commercial or industrial business customer with facilities located in MidAmerican Energy Company’s Iowa service territory.
- MidAmerican Energy Company must provide the primary electricity and/or natural gas to the equipment at the facility for which the rebate is being paid.
- Transportation gas customers with daily metering are ineligible for natural gas incentives. However, customers with monthly metering under the Monthly Metered Transportation Service natural gas tariff are eligible for energy efficiency incentives.
- Equipment installed as replacement units, retrofits or in new construction is eligible.
Rebate requirements and how to apply
Refer to the commercial kitchen equipment rebate application
for all rebate requirements. To apply, complete the commercial kitchen equipment application in full and return it to MidAmerican Energy along with product specifications, itemized invoices for materials and labor and installation date. A manufacturer’s specification sheet with efficiency ratings of the product(s) installed must accompany your application.

Nonresidential Equipment Custom Systems
If specific equipment you intend to purchase and install is not listed, it may qualify under Nonresidential Equipment Custom Systems; however, custom projects must be preapproved by MidAmerican Energy prior to purchase and installation of equipment or systems.
