Equipment Qualifications for Illinois Business Customers
Equipment must be purchased between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023, and installed and operating prior to submitting the final rebate application. Rebates and incentives are issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Please review the general qualifications and conditions, as well as specific equipment qualifications (below).
New in 2023, MidAmerican is offering Instant Discounts for natural gas furnaces, central air conditioners and LED linear replacement lamps. Traditional prescriptive rebates are available for other HVAC and lighting equipment. See the rebates section for more details.
Equipment not listed for prescriptive rebates or Instant Discounts may qualify for a rebate under Nonresidential Energy Solutions. These custom projects must be preapproved by MidAmerican prior to purchase and installation of equipment or systems. Projects must be completed within twelve months of preapproval. All commercial new construction projects must participate in the Commercial New Construction program in order to receive rebates.
Instant Discounts
The Instant Discounts program offers incentives for the purchase and installation of qualifying energy-efficient equipment. By working with an Instant Discounts provider, the discount is automatically deducted from the purchase price, so there's no paperwork for customers to complete. Find an Instant Discounts provider via MidAmerican's Find a Contractor search tool. Trade Allies working with a participating distributor that would like to be listed as an Instant Discounts Provider on the search tool can contact a Trade Ally Ambassador.

Rebates
For prescriptive rebates, the rebate payment cannot exceed 50% of the installed cost (reasonable labor and material/equipment – reasonableness to be determined by MidAmerican). Installed cost includes contractor labor only and does not include internal labor. Applications must be submitted within six months of invoice or by December 31, 2023, whichever comes first. Applications for lighting and HVAC can be submitted online.

Rebates are based on a one-for-one replacement of exterior HID fixtures and wall packs with LED fixtures rated for exterior use. For inside parking garages, replacement LED wall pack fixtures must be attached to a wall. (Parking garage ceiling fixtures are not eligible for this rebate but may qualify for the ceiling-mounted LED parking garage fixture rebates.) Equipment must be hardwired and rated for exterior use.
