    MidAmerican Energy offers a variety of energy efficient programs and rebates for our customers to save money and conserve energy. Learn more about the programs we offer below and refer to qualifications and conditions for requirements.
    Important information as of September 14, 2021
    The residential equipment natural gas program has distributed 90% of the total budget. No program or incentive adjustments are necessary at this time. Applications will continue to be processed and paid on a first-come, first served basis while 2021 funding is available.
    Do you have an older working refrigerator or freezer in your basement or garage? Rebates are available if you’re a MidAmerican Energy electric customer. Schedule a pickup online!
     
    Rebates are available on qualifying new high-efficiency heating and cooling equipment when you replace existing equipment.
     
    The online assessment offers personalized energy use information that can be customized based on your home and lifestyle. Plus, Iowa customers who complete a HomeCheck Online assessment may be eligible for a free energy efficiency kit. The kits contain easy-to-install products to conserve energy and save you money. 
     
    Home energy reports are offered to a randomly selected group of residential customers as part of a program designed to help customers better understand their energy consumption.
     
    For kids and teachers, becoming e-SMART means learning about electricity and how to use it safely and wisely. Teachers are able to download free materials for classroom activities and kids are able to learn about electricity through games and activities. 
     
    MidAmerican Energy offers a rebate for the installation of a new smart thermostat in your home. A smart thermostat connects to your Wi-Fi to help you monitor and control your home’s temperature from any web-enabled device so you can save energy and money.
     
    SummerSaver℠ is a voluntary initiative for MidAmerican Energy residential electric customers who want to help reduce energy use at peak times.
