    Residential electric vehicle purchase rebate qualifications 
    Through December 31, 2021, MidAmerican Energy is offering Iowa customers an incentive for the purchase or lease of a new electric vehicle. To qualify for the incentive, you must:
    • Be a MidAmerican Energy residential electric customer in Iowa whose account is in good standing.
    • Purchase or lease a new electric vehicle between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2021.
    • Have your electric vehicle Iowa Department of Transportation registration registered to your primary residence.
    • Ensure the name on the Department of Transportation registration matches the primary MidAmerican Energy customer name and address.
    • Have your primary residence receive electricity from MidAmerican Energy.
    • Provide a copy of your vehicle invoice with a zeroed-out balance, purchase finance agreement or executed lease contract with a completed residential electric vehicle incentive form.
    Submit a complete application and all required documentation no later than 5 p.m. on January 31, 2022.
    Nonresidential electric vehicle charging station rebate qualifications
    To be eligible for the $1,500 Nonresidential Electric Vehicle Charger Incentive, you must:
    • Be a MidAmerican Energy business electric customer in Iowa whose account is in good standing.
    • Install the charger on an electric meter billed under a nonresidential MidAmerican Energy account.
    • Purchase, install and begin to utilize the charger between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2021.
    • Consent to onsite inspections and MidAmerican Energy's use of charging data.
    • Provide a copy of the invoice or itemized receipt for the charger with this form.
    • Agree to make available the charger for public or employee use.
    • Install a pedestal mount, dual-port charging unit.
    Rebate applications must be received no later than 5 p.m. on January 31, 2022 to be considered.
