MidAmerican Energy Reminds Customers of Streetlight Safety

DES MOINES, Iowa – (Nov. 7, 2012) – The fall and winter seasons bring shorter days as the sun sets earlier and rises later. With more hours of darkness, MidAmerican Energy Company reminds its customers about the importance of submitting a streetlight repair request whenever a streetlight is out.

MidAmerican Energy responds to a variety of streetlight problems, including streetlights that are in need of repair; streetlights that remain on during the day; streetlights that go on and off; and streetlights that are dim or completely burnt out.

To ensure the safety of individuals and the community, customers can submit a streetlight repair request form online by visiting www.midamericanenergy.com and selecting Streetlight Repair Request. Customers are encouraged to detail the precise location of the streetlight, which enables MidAmerican Energy service crews to properly locate and repair the streetlight.

MidAmerican Energy repairs streetlights as soon as possible after a request is submitted.
