MidAmerican Energy Company Announces Preferred Stock Dividends

DES MOINES, Iowa – (Oct. 21, 2009) – The board of directors of MidAmerican Energy Company has declared the regular quarterly dividends on its seven series of preferred stock, payable Dec. 1, 2009, to shareholders of record as of Nov. 6, 2009.
The following is a list of each series of preferred stock and the quarterly dividend:
