Windows Should Allow Light To Pass – Not Conditioned Air
The EnergyAdvantage^® Financing – Windows program, through MidAmerican Energy Company and First American Bank, is available to MidAmerican’s Iowa residential customers for purchasing and installing qualifying high-efficiency windows when MidAmerican supplies their primary heating energy. Applicants may choose from fixed, competitive interest rate financing or six months same-as-cash. Loan approval typically occurs within one day. Financing applications must be completed no later than three months following window installation.

Not All Windows Are Created Equal
Windows must bear the National Fenestration Rating Council^® label to be considered certified. MidAmerican will verify efficiencies of windows, using the most recent editions of the NFRC certification directory. Customers must retain all NFRC labels until windows are verified or loan is closed. Call 800-894-9599 to verify window eligibility.

As part of the loan documentation, one NFRC label must be submitted with the invoice for each style of window and patio door being installed. All windows must include a new frame and be installed by a window dealer recognized by MidAmerican. Sash-only replacement is not eligible for EnergyAdvantage Financing. Professionally manufactured low-E windows must meet a minimum NFRC rating of 0.35 or lower U-factor.
