Landscaping – Increase Shade
During the summer, sunlight streaming in windows forces an air conditioner to work harder, leading to increased energy use. While curtains can be closed, summer shade can be achieved by planting trees around your home.
Water Heaters
A water heater is one of the home’s hardest working appliances and a great place to begin being more energy efficient. Start by setting the hot water temperature to no higher than 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Power Down
