Exterior Doors Now Eligible for EnergyAdvantage Financing in Iowa
Effective Jan. 1, 2012, MidAmerican Energy is adding energy-efficient exterior doors as an eligible measure for financing. Contact us at 800-894-9599 with questions about financing. Complete program requirements are found in the EnergyAdvantage Financing Program for Windows and Exterior Doors brochure.

Nonresidential Insulation Rebates Lowered
Rebate amounts for prescriptive insulation upgrades in the Iowa Nonresidential Building Shell program and insulation upgrades based on Iowa BusinessCheck and Multifamily Housing energy audits were lowered for insulation installed on and after June 1, 2011.

Low-Interest Revolving Loan Fund
Through its Building Energy Management Program, the Iowa Department of Administrative Services offers a 1 percent revolving loan fund to assist eligible schools, hospitals, colleges and universities, local governments and other nonprofits in Iowa with energy efficiency improvements. MidAmerican Energy’s free energy assessments available through the BusinessCheck® and Nonresidential Energy Analysis programs will help qualify your organization for the loan program.

System Adjustment and Verification for Efficiency Training
Effective Jan. 1, 2011, contractors who install qualifying HVAC equipment according to Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance System Adjustment and Verification for Efficiency requirements qualify for a $50 rebate in addition to equipment rebates offered to MidAmerican Energy customers. To qualify for the additional rebate, an installer must be SAVE-certified, must be listed on the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance's website as a certified installer and must provide adequate documentation that the installation of qualifying HVAC equipment met SAVE program requirements. Beginning in 2014, MidAmerican Energy will require that HVAC equipment eligible for rebates be installed by a SAVE-certified contractor.
