Where do I find my account number?
- The account number is located at the top of the bill.

Where do I find my meter number?
- The meter number is located on the left-hand side of the bill under the label Electric Charges.

How do I protect or block my historical customer information so others cannot access it?

You can request to prevent, or block, the release of historical customer information by fax (563-336-3568), letter (MidAmerican Energy Support Services, P.O. Box 4350, Davenport, IA 52808) or by calling MidAmerican Energy:
- Residential customers – 888-427-5632
- Business customers – 800-329-6261, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.

If I protect my information, how can I unblock my information at a later date?
- To unblock account information, submit a written request to MidAmerican Energy Support Services, P.O. Box 4350, Davenport, IA 52808.

Will you notify me if/when historical information for my account has been requested?
- We are unable to notify customers when historical information for their account has been requested.

If I have several accounts, can I enter them all at once?
- No. You will have to request each account individually.

How do I get information on my security light or streetlight?
- If you access your electric account through Energy Choice, the form requires your account number and a meter number. All electric services on that account including lighting will be listed. If you have a separate lighting account, enter Lighting in the space requesting meter number. Your lighting account will be returned.

How do I get information on my unmetered account?
- If you access your electric account through Energy Choice, the form requires your account number and a meter number. All electric services on that account including unmetered will be listed. If you have a separate unmetered account, enter Unmetered in the space requesting meter number. Your unmetered account will be returned.

Are taxes included in the amount billed?
- Yes; however, they are listed separately so you will know the amount of taxes included in the bill.

What is totalized metering?
- Totalized metering means the electrical usage for two or more separate meters at a premise are electronically added together and billed as if all usage were recorded by a single meter.
