What to Expect
You will receive an email confirmation when we’ve received your application. We will contact you if you are a potential match for the position applied for. Since each application received for a posted position is reviewed by our recruiting staff, this process may take up to two weeks.

Employment Testing
When jobs require that a candidate’s abilities and skills be assessed, MidAmerican partners with the Edison Electric Institute to utilize pre-employment testing. Tests and associated procedures are administered consistently for all candidates. Jobs that require pre-employment testing include but are not limited to:
- Equipment Operator
- Electrical Technician
- Fuel-Handling Technician
- Machinist Mechanic Welder
- Mechanic Welder
Edison Electric Institute offers free practice tests by invitation only, which are similar to the actual selection tests. The practice tests cover the same concepts, are presented in the same format, and allow users to monitor their own time as well as receive answers with brief explanations.
