Clean Energy Act
MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company supports well-designed policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We are the largest owner of wind generation facilities among rate regulated utilities and are strong advocates of customers using energy efficiently. We have been industry leaders in offering energy efficiency and demand-side programs to our customers, and are constantly looking for opportunities to enhance these programs in a cost-effective manner.
MidAmerican has taken a clearly defined public stance on the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009, also known as the Waxman-Markey bill, the outcome of which will have far-reaching impacts on our customers, MidAmerican and the energy industry as a whole.
